If My People Who are Called

I was having a conversation with a friend today about our shared sadness for our hurting world. Neither of us felt we knew what to do, “but,” she stated, “I know the answer is Jesus.”

Shortly after, this little slip of paper fell onto the counter from a little pile of papers I hadn’t touched in a long time. I was clearing out–something I have been doing a lot of lately–and there it was.

We begin each day with new mercies. It’s every day (or more) that we must have mercy for each other as well. The injustice is horrific, but God is just. We can trust Him when we are hurting. He knows our deepest wounds and our greatest desires. Today I will choose to ask God to love through me, especially where I struggle to forgive.
